How to manually update REMI?
Does REMI stay stuck on 222 during the first pairing?
In rare cases (notably with some iPhones running OS 26.1), REMI may remain stuck on the 222 code and never complete the WiFi pairing.
To fix this issue:
- Connect REMI to your computer using the USB cable.
- REMI will appear as a USB drive on your computer.
- Download the two files below.
- Copy ble_cypress.bin and update.bin to the root of REMI (not inside a folder).
Download the file ble_cypress.bin Download the file update.bin
Important: make sure the files are named exactly ble_cypress.bin and update.bin, without any suffix such as (1) or (2).
- Safely eject REMI from your computer.
- Plug REMI back into a power outlet.
- Restart the pairing from the app: REMI will then update automatically.
It is not necessary to manually update REMI: as soon as it is connected to WiFi, REMI updates automatically.
ℹ️ When starting up, REMI briefly displays a version code (e.g. 222, 298, 305...). Once connected to WiFi, it automatically updates to newer versions.
Is a manual update required?
A manual update should be performed only if requested by UrbanHello customer support. It is used only when REMI experiences a complete WiFi blockage.
Manual update procedure (only on instruction from customer support)
For a manual update, the update.bin file must be provided directly by UrbanHello customer support.
